Five fast charging methods for chargers

In order to speed up the chemical reaction speed of the battery to the greatest extent, shorten the time for the rechargeable battery to reach a fully charged state, and at the same time, ensure that the polarization of the positive and negative plates of the battery is as small or light as possible to improve the battery efficiency. Adapter fast charging technology has developed rapidly in recent years.

(1) Pulse charging method. The pulse charging method first charges the battery with pulse current, and then stops the battery charging for a period of time. In this way, the intermittent pulse cycle allows the battery to have a sufficient reaction time, reduces the amount of gas evolution, and improves the battery Charging current acceptance rate.

(2) Variable voltage and current wave type intermittent positive and negative zero pulse fast charging method, which combines the advantages of pulse charging method, REFLEXTM fast charging method, variable current intermittent charging method and variable voltage intermittent charging method, which can be used in a relatively short time Charge more power and improve the battery’s charge acceptance ability, so it has been developed and applied as a fast charging method.

(3) REFLEXTM fast charging method. This technology is a patented technology in the United States. The main charging object it faces is a nickel-tin battery. Because it uses a new type of charging method, it greatly reduces the fast charging time of the battery.

(4) The variable voltage intermittent charging method is different from the variable current intermittent charging method in that the first stage is not intermittent constant current, but intermittent constant voltage. In each constant voltage charging stage, due to constant voltage charging, the charging current naturally decreases exponentially, which conforms to the characteristic that the battery current acceptability rate gradually decreases as the charging progresses.

(5) Variable current intermittent charging method. This charging method is based on constant current charging and pulse charging. Its characteristic is to change the constant current charging section to the voltage limiting variable current intermittent charging section. In the early stage of charging, the method of variable current intermittent charging is adopted to ensure that the charging current is increased and most of the charging capacity is obtained. In the later stage of charging, the constant voltage charging section is used to obtain the overcharge amount and restore the battery to the fully charged state in the design of the smart battery charger of the single-chip microcomputer.
