1, overvoltage protection

2, short circuit protection

must be able to withstand continuous output short circuit without damage. When the fault disappears, the power adapter must be able to recover from the protection mode and provide rated power again.

3, over temperature protection

If the temperature of the power adapter exceeds a certain temperature value, the adapter will be damaged. In order to avoid this situation, it is necessary to use a thermal sensor to continuously monitor the temperature. If the temperature exceeds the limit set by the designer, the adapter will continuously shut down. When the user restarts the power supply and the temperature drops, the power adapter will reset.

4, over power protection

For some power supplies, it is important that in the worst case, if the load consumes too much current, the output current is kept under control, and no short circuit will actually occur.
